PEI Photo Club - 2010 Photo Show
Thanks to everyone that attended the 2009 Photo show. Yet another success with over 250 entries and hundreds of visitors. We are looking forward to the 2010 show already!
The PEI Photo Club would like to say a special thank you to the following 2009 show sponsors; Heckbert Studios, Cluster Shot, A&S Scrap Metal, and PEI Photo Labs.
Entries for the exhibit are restricted to club members only.
Here are the categories for 2010:
2010 PHOTO SHOW CATEGORIES
| City Life and City Scapes | Photographer's Choice |
| Feelin' Blue | Portraits |
| Food | Shadows |
| Nature | Sports/Action |
City Lights and City Scapes - Anything found in or around the city, from graffiti to skyscrapers to park benches and the people sitting on them. This category celebrates the interesting beauty of the cement jungles we live in.
Feelin' Blue - Donít be sad! Look around for this colour and make it as beautiful as you can. Intense colour should be your goal for this category, with an emphasis on the many shades of blue. Still feeliní blue? Perhaps an . . . alternative approach to this category will cheer you up! Feel free to interpret in any way you like.
Food - Make our mouths water with images of the things we love to eat. The more appetizing, the better.
Nature - Mother Nature and all her creations make for classic photographic subjects. Get outside and shoot the life growing around you! Even the most mundane backyard has something natural to show.
Photographer's Choice - Anything and everything that doesnít fit into the categories outlined above. Let us see your best pictures!
Portraits - Simple concept but difficult to execute; a good portrait can be the most challenging task asked of a photographer. Any face counts . . . from babies to pets. Try showing some personality to really stand out in this category.
Shadows - Shadows can be a photographerís worst nightmare or best friend. Use shadows to create patterns, emphasize your subject, or make a funny picture. The more creative the better.
Sports/Action - This category is an opportunity to use a fast shutter speed to stop motion in its tracks. Alternatively, motion streaking across the frame can really create the feeling of action. Use your imagination to capture the spirit of the event!
