Please join us at 'The Guild' (corner of Queen and Richmond Streets) between May 17 and 31 and help us celebrate photography! MEETINGS Meetings will now take place on the fourth Tuesday each month at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located behind the Kentucky Fried Chicken at the intersections of The Bypass and St. Peters Road at 7:30 PM. The dates for our meetings are May 26th, June 23rd and July 28th. Note - The May 26th meeting will be held at 'The Guild' (corner of Queen and Richmond Streets) Meeting topics in the recent past included: dry mounting photos onto foam board, Film Speeds, ISO's, Shutter Speeds, and Apertures. One year membership fees are $25. Each month our club members are presented with a photo challenge as well as a scheduled field trip. We share and talk about our photos taken at these events at the following meeting. See our Events/Shoots page for more details. GUEST SPEAKERS Guest speakers have included Paul Vienneau sharing with us his interesting photographs, Alanna Jankov discussing her specialty area of photography - photojournalism, Mary Carr-Chaisson - discussing the art of Pinhole Photography and Award Winner and internationally published Photographer, John Sylvester. ROGER GALLANT MEMORIAL AWARD This award is given out once a year to a member of the PEI Photo Club who has demonstrated throughout the year, a true interest in and a true spirit for the PEI Photography Club. Nominations will be closed Friday, May 08 at 6 PM. |
